Indonesian Government Rules for Boarding Flights
The rules for boarding flights in July 2022 have been officially released by the Indonesian government. The new rules that apply require prospective passengers to carry out booster vaccinations. If you can’t or haven’t been vaccinated with a booster, there are other conditions that apply to boarding the plane. Domestic Travelers need to know the latest flight boarding requirements. This is stated in the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Transportation Number 70 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Air Transportation during the Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) Pandemic which is effective as of July 17, 2022. - Rules for boarding the plane if you have been vaccinated with a booster: no need to show a negative PCR/Antigen test result
- Rules for boarding the plane if you have just received the second dose of vaccination: – Shows a negative result of an Antigen test whose sample is taken within 1×24 hours or a negative PCR result whose sample is taken within 3×24 hours before departure – They can also do a booster vaccination upon departure
- The rules for boarding the plane if you have just received the first dose of vaccine: must show a negative PCR result whose sample is taken within 3×24 hours before departure.
New Flight Rules for Ages 6-17
Prospective airplane passengers aged 6-17 years must comply with the rules set by the government. They are subject to the following boarding rules:- Must show a second dose of vaccine certificate
- No need to attach negative PCR/Antigen results.
July 2022 Boarding Policy for Passengers Under 6 Years Old
Prospective flight passengers under the age of 6 years are also subject to the latest flight rules in July 2022. The following is the information.- Vaccination rules excluded
- It is not mandatory to attach a negative PCR/Antigen result.
Latest Airplane Requirements for Comorbid Patients
Domestic Travel Passengers with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that cannot be vaccinated must comply with the new applicable rules. They must attach:- PCR negative results whose samples were taken within 3×24 hours before departure
- Medical certificate from a Government Hospital stating that the person concerned cannot be vaccinated against COVID-19.
